Burkina FASO: the Minister of Foreign Affairs received the Chargé d’affaires of People’s republic of China in an audience
Burkina Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabe Abroad, Her Excellency Madame Olivia Rouamba received in an audience on Thursday, April 6th, 2023, the Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Burkina Faso, Mr. Wenzhang WANG.
«The People’s Republic of China shows its willingness and sincerity to support the Burkinabe people in their fight against insecurity», stated Mr. Wenzhang WANG.
He added that the Chinese authorities are in a good position to assist Burkina Faso, especially in terms of defense and security measures using all possible mean.
Minister Rouamba stated that: « Burkina Faso is grateful for the extended hand of friendship and partnership from the People’s Republic of China». She assured that China is a valuable partner that the transition government greatly values.
They also discussed international political issues and took stock of the cooperation between the two countries
By renewing Burkina Faso’s assurances, Her Excellency Madame Olivia Rouamba aims at enhancing the collaboration with the People’s Republic of China. Also, he desires more visible and concrete actions, particularly in the area of infrastructure development.
Both parties expressed their willingness to revitalize various areas of collaboration, particularly trade, which has suffered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. WANG also announced that the issuance of visas for Burkinabe citizens will be facilitated in the coming months.
