Mali / Burkina : Azawad Rebel Group owns German-made missiles

 German-made missiles were seen in the possession of the Azawa rebel’s group. There was on the occasion of their eleventh symbolic anniversary of independence in Kidal on 6th April 2023.

This discovery raises questions about how these terrorists obtained these sophisticated weapons. The Burkinabe authorities need to be extra vigilant and to keep a close watch on aircraft operating in their airspace.

 Indeed, it is crucial to avoid any unpleasant surprises that could compromise the efforts undertaken by the Burkinabe captain Ibrahim TRAORE.

Azawad is an armed group located in northern Mali that has been claiming independence for eleven years. The presence of this armed group in the region is a source of concern for neighboring countries.

It is therefore imperative that the Burkinabe authorities take preventive measures, and be very careful. Aerial surveillance is one of the most important measures to be taken to detect any suspicious movement in the border areas and throughout the territory of Burkina Faso.

Indeed, the appearance of German-made missiles in the hands of armed groups in Azawad raises many questions and calls for greater vigilance on the part of the authorities. One wonders how they obtained these missiles. To be continued…
