Burkina Faso: What you need to know about the tour of Lieutenant-Colonel Evrard Somda in the first gendarmerie region.
The Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie, Lieutenant-Colonel Evrard Somda, visited the units deployed in the first region of the Gendarmerie a few days ago to boost their morale.
During his tour, he congratulated all the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) for the work already done and encouraged them to continue the fight.
The Chief of Defence Staff visited the Seytenga detachment and the infrastructure under construction at the Command Post of the Dori departmental gendarmerie group.
He also met with the gendarmes and paid particular attention to their concerns.
While congratulating them for their courage and bravery, he urged them to maintain the efforts already made. This visit enabled the gendarmes to reaffirm their commitment to continue the fight for the reconquest of the national territory.
Accompanied by the Director of Logistics of the National Gendarmerie and the Commander of the First Gendarmerie Region, the Chief of the Defence Staff wished the gendarmes a happy Christmas and wished them the best for the year 2023.
