Burkina Faso: Captain Ibrahim Traoré reaffirms his commitment to fight terrorism together with the sons and daughters of Faso

As part of the very first edition of the forum dedicated to the contribution of international civil servants to the inclusive development of Burkina Faso, the Head of State, President of the MPSR, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, exchanged with a delegation of Burkinabe international civil servants present in Ouagadougou, on Thursday, December 29, 2022. This forum was devoted to the different processes of government development to overcome the current difficult situation in the country.

The delegation was led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabé Abroad, Ms. Olivia Rouamba.

Indeed, Burkina Faso, a country of integrity, plagued by insecurity that jeopardizes its existence as a nation-State, must mobilize its sons and daughters to the collective work to restore the peace, security and stability necessary to consolidate the rule of law and ensure the well-being of the populations. In addition to this, international civil servants are true standard-bearers of Burkina Faso abroad, given their growing qualitative and quantitative importance in international organizations.

In these circumstances, this meeting between President Ibrahim Traoré and the international civil servants present in Ouagadougou is an opportunity for the latter to gather guidance from the Head of State and to immerse themselves in the President’s vision of the transition. Thus, as part of the fight against terrorism, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE reaffirmed his willingness to fight with all the sons and daughters of the country for the reconquest and freedom of all parts of the national territory under terrorist occupation and for the well-being of the population. For this reason, he welcomed the encouragement and motivation of international civil servants through their initiatives towards the Burkinabe State. As well as their way of provoking the enthusiasm of the government to continue the fight to the end.

Indeed, through their dedication, international civil servants bring great values to Faso, wherever they work. Values such as integrity, a sense of innovation, concern for a job well done… to name but a few. Moreover, according to Minister Rouamba, the meeting was an opportunity for international officials to express their gratitude to the Head of State for holding the forum despite the difficult situation in the country.

Finally, the Head of State, the President of the MPSR, explained to international officials that actions are being developed to fight terrorism and for the return of internally displaced persons to their places of origin. Captain Ibrahim Traoré therefore took the opportunity to invite the officials to remain united and always in solidarity with the motherland.
