Burkina Faso/Attempted destabilisation: Captain Sorgho calls on the people to rally behind the government

The spokesman for the Patriotic Movement for Sovereignty and Restoration (MPSR), Captain Sorgho Azaria, has commented on the alleged tensions and attempts to destabilise the transition in Burkina Faso. For the officer, this is psychological warfare being waged by national enemies of the transition under the command of certain foreign chancelleries.

Commenting first on the alleged lack of cohesion within the MPSR, Captain Sorgho reassured the people of Burkina Faso.

According to him, all this is part of a plan to divide the members of the MPSR in order to rule better, the main weapon of the imperialists who see their interests shattered.

These people are sowing doubt in the minds of the population through disinformation, intoxication and misleading communications.

The aim is to create a certain psychosis and achieve their ends.

The brother-in-arms of President Ibrahim Traoré maintains that the perpetrators of these plots are people to whom the transitional government, in its commitment to serve the people, has cut off the means of illegal enrichment.

And these people, in complicity with certain chancelleries, are seeking to undermine the transition.

Concerning the rumours of the arrest of this or that soldier, Captain Sorgho emphasised that the transitional government’s mission was not to conduct a «witch-hunt».

Rather, it is to unite the people around a single struggle: the reconquest and sovereignty of the country, with the well-being of the population and a return to peace at its heart.

And for this return to peace, the MPSR spokesman invites the people not to fall into the trap of the enemy, to remain united because only the sacred union behind the transitional government presided over by Captain Ibrahim Traoré can bring back stability to the country and by ricochet, the development of the Nation.
