Burkina Faso/Counter-terrorism: Recalcitrant are massacred by Burkinabe fighters

Monday, May 6, marked another dark day for terrorist armed groups who persist in causing harm to Burkinabe citizens. These defiant individuals, who came in large numbers to sow chaos, were swiftly apprehended and successfully dealt with by the brave and valiant soldiers of Burkina Faso.

According to security sources made public by AIB, criminals on a mission to steal cattle in Barga, in the Yatenga province in the Northern region of the country, were struck down by missiles from aerial fighters.

Tthose who attempted to escape by hiding among the stolen cattle met their fate later, remaining within the sights of the aerial vectors.

Later in the evening of the same day, simultaneous attacks by other  terrorist groups on the villages of Dio in the Boucle du Mouhoun region and Tapoa in the Eastern region were also met with appropriate action.

Although those in Dio managed to cause material damage by setting houses on fire, they did not survive to recount their misdeeds.

At Tapoa Barrage, fierce battles ensued between the combat forces and the assailants.

However, faced with the determination of the armed forces, the criminals fled towards Tounga, about ten kilometers north of Diapaga.

Thinking they were safe in Tounga, they were caught off guard under a large tree by a missile and joined their accomplices in hell.

This highlights the dedication and professionalism exhibited by the combat forces. In this ongoing struggle, the Burkinabe people are reassured of achieving security objectives.

The reconquest of the entirety of Burkinabe territory, the restoration of peace and stability, are essential for all development efforts.

Unity and solidarity among the sons and daughters of Burkina Faso are therefore necessary to boost the fight and accelerate the reconquest.
