Stéphanie Bluetooth triumphs at the 9th Edition of the RFI Talents du Rire 2023 award

Congolese comedian Stéphanie Bluetooth emerged victorious at the 9th edition of the esteemed RFI Talents du Rire 2023 award, presented by Mamane and RFI. This triumph comes with a prize of 4,000 euros, aimed at supporting the promising development of her artistic career.

Following Jessy B’s success with the «Prix Découvertes RFI», another artist from Brazzaville proudly represents the Republic of Congo.

Stéphanie Bluetooth, the talented comedian, captivated the jury and audience, securing the RFI Talents du Rire 2023 award and receiving a substantial sum of 4,000 euros, equivalent to 2,600,000 FCFA.

 This amount will provide the artist with a valuable opportunity to further develop her art and expand her influence.

Her journey in comedy began at a young age in school, where she entertained her peers, earning her the nickname that would become her pseudonym.

«They called me “laughter transfer”, then they just said “Bluetooth” », she shares on RFI.

Mockeries about her physical appearance have been transformed into a source of inspiration and resilience in her sketches.

At the age of 22, the young comedian states, «Like the majority of people who are overweight, there was a time in my life when I was really a victim of harassment because of my weight».
