Liverpool eyeing Bryan Mbeumo as potential Mohamed Salah replacement

Liverpool is reportedly considering the recruitment of a Cameroonian international player in the upcoming summer transfer market. Bryan Mbeumo is the player in question, currently playing for Brentford. The Reds are rumored to be eyeing him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah in the forward line.

During the summer, Liverpool might contemplate parting ways with their star offensive player, Mohamed Salah.

The Saudi Pro League showed significant interest in Salah last summer, with teams like Al-Ittihad and others ready to reignite their interest in the Egyptian star from Liverpool this summer.

Although Salah’s departure seems unlikely, considering he is entering the final year of his contract at Anfield, eventually, a replacement will be needed.

Mbeumo, aged 24 and valued at around 40 million euros, is seen as an interesting choice to fill Salah’s shoes.

Despite a recent ankle injury, Mbeumo has had a promising season in the Premier League with seven goals and four assists for Brentford. His contract with the club runs until June 2026.

Liverpool could look to bolster their attacking lineup by recruiting the talented Cameroonian forward if Salah departs this summer.

Mbeumo could prove to be a smart choice for Liverpool, with his ability to finish on the right wing offering a similar profile to Salah.

Moreover, his experience in the English league, having played in the Premier League with Brentford since the club’s promotion in the 2020-2021 season, makes him one of the preferred options for the Reds.

It remains to be seen if the Indomitable Lion can replicate Salah’s success and thrive in Liverpool’s colors.
