Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traore shares a memorable day with Burkinabe youth

The Head of State, President Ibrahim TRAORE, spent half a day with more than 230 children, representing all regions of Burkina Faso, on the occasion of World Children’s Day. This significant event began with a ceremony to raise the colours, followed by an interactive exchange during which the President answered questions from the budding young journalists.

In a solemn speech, Captain TRAORE stressed the importance of respect for the national flag, calling on all citizens to salute the colours as a fundamental act of national identity.

The televised interview covered a range of subjects, from the President’s personal journey to crucial issues such as national security, children’s rights, schooling for disabled children, and many others.

For over an hour, the Head of State shared his perspectives and commitments, underlining the importance of the fight for food self-sufficiency and announcing initiatives underway to guarantee free healthcare and education for children.

He responded positively to children’s pleas for education, access to housing for internally displaced children, girls’ education, and peace and security.

This special day enabled President Ibrahim TRAORE to connect with young people, to understand their concerns and aspirations, and to share their dreams for Burkina Faso.

The President of the Transition concluded by reaffirming his commitment to creating a conducive environment where children can grow up in peace, receive a quality education, and achieve their full potential in their country.
