Burkina Faso: President Ibrahim Traoré licks the seven-year-wounds caused by France

The French presence in Burkina Faso for seven years only worsened the security situation, as fortunately recognized by one of the most followed French media outlets, LCI.

Before the arrival of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, a total of 13,000 Burkinabe lost their lives in terrorist attacks. From 2016 to 2022, we can say that French soldiers were lacking equipment or were they incompetent in the face of terrorists, given the high civilian death toll?

The new authorities of Burkina Faso are right to break the military agreement with France. The French army did not respect the contract and failed in its mission.

During the TV program, the journalist from LCI questioned about the strategy that President Ibrahim Traoré put in place to fearlessly confront terrorists.

We also heard from the same French channel that territories were previously under the heel of jihadists are now under the control of Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s men.

This is a proof that Captain Ibrahim Traoré and his men are ahead of the French troops who claimed to be coming help with the military strategic plan.

The seven years of French presence without results contrasts with the seven months of Captain Ibrahim’s tenure with absolute silence from the terrorists. In plain, there is an abyssal difference between Captain Ibrahim Traore’s strategy and France in terms of competence and experience.

Furthermore, this aware the international community that France wanted to make the Burkinabè its slaves, just as it fomented Niger to the point where a senior Nigerien officer in the person of General Abou Tarka affirmed, «We are proud to be under French domination».

In just seven months, Captain Ibrahim Traoré made it so that the terrorists are trying to leave Burkinabe territory. Other French media outlet even surpass Burkinabe authorities by inflating the death toll in favor of the terrorists. This without any official statement from Burkinabe authorities confirming the facts.

Burkinabe people have long understood the game France is playing through its media. Manipulative information from French media is not welcome in Burkina Faso.

Investigations are underway to shed light on the false information that profrench-media in order to tarnish the image of the security and defense forces.

Individuals who are not aligned with the current vision in Burkina Faso are shown the door. This was the case with the French ambassador Luc Hallade, who was spying on the Burkinabe army, and also with Barbara Manzi, who was trying to impose her diplomacy on Burkina Faso.

President Ibrahim Traoré aims to reclaim his country’s confiscated sovereignty. The Burkinabe population should show more solidarity behind the ambitious President and must be over French-media’s manipulations.

France must acknowledge the harm it has caused to African countries, particularly Burkina Faso, by endangering the lives of innocent civilians.

Observers are baffled by the international community’s silence on this matter and call on it to play its role.
