Burkina Faso: For spreading false information, the French channel LCI is left without a leg to stand on.
False information has been concocted at all costs to depict the security situation in Burkina Faso. French media are reinforcing those behind the plots against Burkina Faso and France, and they dare to characterize the decreasing security situation in Burkina Faso, thanks to the efforts of the authorities without external assistance, in a tragic manner. Certain individuals appear out of nowhere, lacking a grasp of the situation on the ground, and make indecent statements to tarnish the image of the top officials in Burkina Faso.
RFI, France 24, not to mention “Le Monde” and “Libération” newspapers, attempted to downplay the competence of the Burkinabe authorities and were taken aback by swift responses.
These aforementioned media outlets provide their platforms to so-called activists or investigative journalists to formulate well-planned falsehoods about the sovereign nation.
Let us remember how the security situation worsened despite the presence of French troops, who had access to war equipment for offensives.
What an act of faithlessness. It is deplorable on the part of France. As the emergence of Burkina Faso does not serve France’s interests, its troops have chosen to support the terrorists. The difference between the security situation with France and without France is incomparable.
After revealing its incompetence and being covered in shame, France pushes forward in its destabilization game through the French channel “LCI.”
During a fabricated program against Burkina Faso, the host (an LCI journalist), amateur as she may be, claims that «jihadists are gaining more and more ground since the departure of the French army».
This information is false, and she further adds that «these terrorists are advancing rapidly in the absence of any state in the conquered localities, particularly in the tri-border area between Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso».
Her statements lack concrete evidence and lack objectivity and credibility. This manipulation attempt has once again failed. Terrorists in Burkina Faso are in disarray.
Due to a lack of experience and expertise, the Media Regulatory Authority in Burkina Faso has called out LCI for violating the ethics and journalistic rules.
The Regulatory Council has imposed a three-month reflection period on LCI. The channel, complicit in destabilization, has been suspended from all pay-TV service providers.
