Burkina Faso: Fight against terrorism, Commandos equipped and ready to serve the Nation with rigour and energy

The commitment of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to the fight against terrorism in Burkina Faso has led to a reorganization of the military, the establishment of the Patriotic Support Fund, the provision of equipment to the national armed forces, improvements in their living and working conditions, and the implementation of several initiatives in their favor.

As part of the restructuring of the security system and on the instruction of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Army Staff has equipped and enhanced the operational capabilities of around sixty soldiers in commando techniques.

The training conducted at the National Commando Training Center in Pô (CNEC) addresses two challenges.

Firstly, the need to have a specialized elite force capable of perpetuating training, and secondly, to have seasoned reservists ready to undertake bold operations in the field to reclaim territory.

Therefore, the sixty commando soldiers are prepared to intervene at any time on the ground to bolster the ranks of the fighting forces on the front lines.

Thus, with faith, energy, rigor, and solidarity, these commandos embrace the values essential for the success of their mission to protect and secure the land of the honest people amidst this fight against terrorist
