Burkina Faso/Attack on Djibo: Media allegations and the stance of Captain Ibrahim TRAORE’s MPSR

Since Captain Ibrahim TRAORE’s Military Patriotic Salvation Regime (MPSR) assumed power, there has been a persistent trend of imperialist-backed media making baseless allegations and accusations. Recognizing the schemes against Burkina Faso orchestrated by these external forces, the country’s new leader has chosen to distance himself from their influence.

In response, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE opted for a pragmatic approach by seeking essential equipment for combating terrorist groups from reliable and honest partners, without succumbing to hypocrisy.

The positive outcomes of this decision on the ground are evident to all. Former partners, desperate to discredit these compatriots and revolutionaries, find it challenging to digest this shift in alliances.

The Burkinabe authorities have expelled corrupt media outlets for their role in sowing misinformation and disorder.

The strengthened ties between imperialists, unable to exploit Burkina Faso further, and media outlets seeking revenge have intensified against the military regime.

The information landscape remains chaotic, with some nationals lacking common sense and patriotism becoming unwitting allies in this disinformation campaign.

Regarding the Djibo incident, these puppet media outlets assert that Burkina Faso authorities are concealing the truth about civilian and military casualties.

Without credible evidence and relying on false information, they insinuate that an air attack, as part of the response operation by the Burkina Faso armed forces, mistakenly targeted civilians instead of terrorists.

Furthermore, they propagate claims that terrorists are celebrating victory in Djibo. How can they be certain of the accuracy of jihadist information but skeptical of the FDS’s version?

This manipulative approach has consistently been their modus operandi, aimed at spreading falsehoods, denigrating the current authorities, demoralizing the population supporting the transition, and ultimately destabilizing the land of honest People for the interests of both the manipulative media and imperialist agendas.
