Burkina Faso / Anti-terrorist operations: The armed forces target and neutralize several terrorists hiding among animals in Barga and Tapoa

Earlier this week in Burkina Faso, combat forces initiated a series of targeted airstrikes against terrorists who had stolen livestock in Barga, in the Yatenga region. Security sources reported that additional targets were also hit in the Tapoa region.

In a desperate attempt to evade the strikes, the terrorists blended in with the stolen animals, seeking refuge under trees in the northern part of the country.

However, the keen vigilance of aerial operators enabled precise location and targeting of the main group using drones.

A direct strike hit the core of the group, forcing survivors to scatter in panic. Some tried to blend in with the livestock in a futile attempt to hide, but the military operations continued relentlessly.

Concurrently, two attacks were reported in Dio, near Ouahigouya, and at Tapoa Dam in the Tapoa region.

In Dio, fleeing criminals were swiftly identified and targeted, halting their destructive progress.

Intense combat ensued at Tapoa Dam as the Armed Forces clashed with the assailants.

Faced with the determination of the  Burkina Faso armed forces, the criminals fled towards Tounga, about ten kilometers north of Diapaga.

There, they believed they were safe under a large tree, until they were effectively targeted by a missile.
