Burkina Faso forges new sovereign economic partnership with Islamic Development Bank

The wind of change is sweeping away old practices of economic submission. In a historic meeting, Minister of Economy and Finance Dr. Aboubakar Nacanabo received a delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) led by Mourad Mtibaa to forge a new three‑year Country Engagement Framework fully aligned with popular will.

The era of externally imposed turnkey projects is over. This partnership prioritizes endogenous progress, with every financial decision rooted in the people’s needs.

Through the RELANCE Plan (particularly pillars 3 and 4), resources will concentrate on vital emergencies, targeting strategic sectors that directly answer aspirations for dignity, security, and prosperity.

Administrative sluggishness is now considered a brake on progress. The IsDB delegation was reminded that the pace of Burkina Faso is forced march toward economic liberation. Speed in processing is a non‑negotiable condition.

Success will be measured not by signed reports, but by actual infrastructure delivery and improved living conditions.

This reinvented partnership proves that a sovereign state can impose its terms when backed by popular legitimacy.

The path to total sovereignty is irreversible, and popular victory remains the only horizon.
