Togo: SOGEMEF requests loans worth 30 Billion

Since 2017, the Société Générale of Micro & Méso Finance (SOGEMEF) has granted loans totaling 30 billion to its clients.

Zankou Abla Mawussé, the interim Director of this organization, shared these figures during the official opening of their branch in Kara.

These loans have been allocated to entrepreneurs operating in various sectors, including agriculture, livestock, craftsmanship, trade, hospitality, tourism, and construction and public works.

She attributes her success to «strong partnerships» established with the National Agency for Promotion and Guarantee of Financing (ANPGF), the Incentive Mechanism for Agricultural Financing, based on risk-sharing (MIFA), and the Fund for Supporting Youth Employability (FAIEJ).

As the first mesofinance institution in Togo, it boasts a client portfolio of over 17,000 members.
