Togo: President Shares His Vision on Sustainable Development and Population Resilience at the Abu Dhabi Investment Summit

Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé presented his vision for enhancing population resilience and sustainable development at the 8th World Investment Summit in Abu Dhabi.

He emphasized the crucial role of the state as a strategic actor in national economic development.

This vision hinges on collaboration between the public and private sectors, particularly through public-private partnerships, to address emerging challenges.

President Faure Gnassingbé highlighted Togo’s experience, which has welcomed investors from various backgrounds to fund priority projects within the government’s program.

This approach has led to successful partnerships with the private sector, notably in the establishment of an industrial platform in Lomé.

At this World Investment summit, the Togolese President encouraged technical and financial partners to support this new dynamic and advocate for the budgetary capabilities of African countries, enabling them to fully play their role as strategic states.

This approach aims to promote sustainable economic development and enhance population resilience.
