Togo / H.E. Faure Gnassingbé’s investment policy: Tsévié benefits from modern socio-economic infrastructure

Under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, the Togolese government continues its commitment to development, focusing on the construction and modernization of basic socio-economic infrastructure. The latest manifestation of this policy is evident in Tsévié, in the Zio 1 municipality, with the inauguration of a modern market and a facility dedicated to youth and women.

These new infrastructures represent a significant turning point for Tsévié, aligning with a broader vision of economic and social development for the entire Togo.

The modern market, built on an impressive 10-hectare area, effectively replaces the outdated old market.

With a capacity of 4409 spaces, this ultramodern commercial complex not only provides spacious selling areas but also modern facilities to facilitate the flow of products, especially those from agriculture.

The expected monthly revenues far exceed those of the old market, increasing from 4 to over 9 million CFA francs.

Rose Kayi Mivedor, the Minister of Trade, Handicrafts, and Local Consumption, emphasized the importance of this new infrastructure for revitalizing the local economy.

She asserted that Tsévié’s modern market would offer several advantages to economic operators in the municipality and contribute to the enhancement of social and economic inclusion in the region.

Simultaneously, the youth and women’s facility, inaugurated on the same day, sprawls over four hectares and includes a range of facilities such as an administrative block, a space reserved for women, a library, a co-working space, and a 1000-seat auditorium.

Financed by the government, this infrastructure will play a crucial role in promoting employment and fostering the well-being of young people and women in the region.

This new youth and women’s facility in Tsévié complements other similar structures already operational in Kara and Lomé, showcasing the Togolese government’s ongoing commitment to balanced socio-economic development across all regions of the country.
