Togo: Education/ President Faure Gnassingbé helps children in need

The start of the 2023-2024 school year is fast approaching in Togo. President Faure Gnassingbé, has put his heart into giving underprivileged children access to education. A donation of school kits to underprivileged children in the commune of Golfe 7 in Greater Lomé (Togo’s capital). The culture of excellence in schools is close to the heart of the Head of State

The donation, made entirely by the President of the Republic, Faure Gnassingbé, consists mainly of exercise books, pens, khaki and plastic covers, as well as geometry sets and many other school supplies. It is part of his policy to promote education in Togo.

President Faure Gnassingbé’s commitment to education is clearly demonstrated by this initiative.

After this stop in the commune of Golfe 7, it will be the turn of other localities, notably Zanguéra, then further afield in the Savanes region in the north of the country, the Plateaux and two villages in the maritime region. The aim is to reach 500 children or more.

During the first round of donations in the Golfe 7 commune, a total of 300 pupils from Primary school to the final year of Secondary school gladly received these kits, which will firstly relieve parents and secondly enable children to start the 2023-2024 school year without material worries.

The beneficiaries warmly thanked the President of the Republic and promised to deliver good results at the end of the year.

«I thank President Faure for this gift and I promise to work hard to get more gifts next year», said one beneficiary.
