Togo: Dapaong ready to host the third edition of Vocational Education and Training Week

Dapaong is gearing up to host the third edition of the Vocational Education and Training Week (ETFP), scheduled to take place from February 15 to 24. The official announcement was made on Tuesday, January 31, by the Ministry of Vocational Education and Training during a press briefing.

Under the theme «Consolidating Public-Private Partnerships for Skilled Workforce and Enhanced Employability», this week aims to spotlight the government’s efforts in the field of vocational education and training, as well as the resulting opportunities for young learners.

Colette Adjognon, President of the National Commission organizing the ETFP week, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, «Our goal is to intensify synergistic actions in favor of communication on ETFP, access to this training, employability, and professional integration of graduates».

This edition promises a rich array of diverse activities. The agenda includes awareness-raising caravans, radio programs to reach a broader audience, open house days allowing interested individuals to explore different training programs up close, and talent competitions with attractive prizes.

It is worth noting that the ETFP Week was initiated in 2022 to familiarize the public with available vocational training and professional development opportunities.

Since its inception, it has played a crucial role in shedding light on the educational and professional paths for young people while strengthening ties between public and private sector stakeholders.

This third edition, set to unfold in Dapaong, is expected to significantly contribute to the promotion of vocational education and training in the region, thereby enhancing prospects for learners and future workers.
