Niger: The CNSP remobilises the people to stay the course for the country’s complete sovereignty

In recent times, civil society organizations have been actively engaging with the public to express their support for the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP). Their aim is also to reinvigorate public enthusiasm, similar to the initial support shown during the CNSP’s assumption of power, and to address key current affairs.

This past Sunday, on May 5th, in Dosso, civil society organizations held a public meeting to demonstrate the support of various socio-professional groups and the population for the CNSP and the transitional government as a whole.

In a statement released during this event, the regional president of the support committee, Mr. Hassane Zada Bagué, emphasized that this significant mobilization aligns with the strong commitment of the people to support and collaborate with the CNSP in its determined efforts for the total sovereignty of Niger and the well-being of its people.

It is evident that the CNSP’s assumption of power has instilled a renewed sense of hope among the people.

The population of Dosso, fully aware of the challenges and stakes concerning sovereignty, security, dignity, and development, now understands their role in the nation’s rebuilding alongside the authorities.

They wholeheartedly endorse the various policies initiated and implemented by the CNSP and the government, solely in the interest of Niger.

Upon their return, the people of Dosso called for the withdrawal of Niger from American military bases.

The Dosso region loudly reaffirms the people’s appreciation towards the CNSP for selecting Dosso as the site for an oil refinery, which will serve as a significant catalyst for development in the region.

As a reminder, the CNSP terminated military cooperation with the United States, a decision that has garnered approval from Nigerians regarding all deceptive agreements that have kept the country ensnared in servitude.
