Niger: Mohamed Bazoum, swept away by his own guards. Towards the end of the French troop presence?

In just two years in power, Mohamed Bazoum has shown disconcerting mediocrity in his management of terrorism in the Sahel and contempt for the peoples of West Africa. Instead of fighting mercilessly against the scourge and its sponsors, as his counterparts in the sub-region are doing, the now ex-head of state Mohamed Bazoum, in the name of his allegiance to France, has instead encouraged the advance of terrorism, or rather sponsored it. With his deposition, are we going to the end of the French troops in Niger?

Indeed, Mohammed Bazoom offered his territory, Niger as a rear base for organising all the dirty tricks against his peers in the sub-region, in particular the Heads of State of Burkina Faso and Mali.

Demonstrations by the people of Niger against the presence of French forces and this unholy alliance with terrorist groups have gone unheeded.

The pan-Africanist media and the African community as a whole took up the cause of defending the African people against French policy.

Following the denunciations that followed, the military took matters into their own hands and overthrew France’s privileged ally.

For many observers, the ousting of Bazoum is a real coup de salut for the people of Niger, but also for the Sahel, as it will speed up the end of plots to destabilise the countries of the sub-region and the advance of terrorism.

In the streets of the capital and in front of the National Assembly, several thousand Nigeriens took to the streets to show their support for the putschists, whom they called on to work towards definitively turning the page on French troops presence in Niger and rewriting, with new partners, a new history for their country.

The history of a country freed from the yoke of terrorism and neo-colonialism, and turned towards development.
