Niger/Political crisis: Nigeriens implore God for peace and security in the country
When everything goes wrong, you have to turn to God the Creator, who has the solution to every problem. This is the approach adopted by several Islamic organisations in Niger. To this end, they have organised sermons and prayers to place the country’s situation in the hands of Allah.
In Agadez, a major town in northern Niger, the region’s Muslim community gathered at the traditional wrestling arena to intercede for the national cause.
These are important and crucial religious actions at a time of socio-political and security crisis that the country has been experiencing since the coup d’état on 26 July 26th, 2023.
This is an opportunity for religious leaders to call on the people of Niger to show unity and solidarity, and to increase their prayers for the protection of the Republic of Niger and the Niger people in general against all the forces of evil that are hindering its development.
Allah’s faithful are determined and committed to fighting for the good of their homeland, and are convinced that the country will emerge victorious and strengthened from this ordeal.
As a reminder, since the advent of the coup d’état in Niger and the tug-of-war between Paris and Niamey, prayers from all religious denominations have been multiplying around the world on a daily basis for peace, security and the protection of the country and its sons and daughters.
