DRC: The Minister for Foreign Trade praises Congo at the DRC-UK Economic Forum

The Economic Forum DRC-UK, which opened on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Kinshasa, aims to foster cooperation and business opportunities for investors from these two economically potent countries.

At the commencement of the event, Minister of External Trade Lucien Bussa focused his address on two key aspects: outlining the economic and trade relations between the two countries and providing an overview of the economic potential that presents business opportunities for investors.

«In terms of trade, the annual volume of commerce between the two countries is estimated at less than 100 million US dollars, which, while not substantial, showcases the existing potentials that we should exploit today to boost our economies and trade levels in terms of exportable or importable goods diversity and value», stated the Minister of External Trade.

«The wealth of the Congolese soil and subsoil represents numerous business opportunities that can be explored within the framework of developing economic relations between our two countries. Therefore, the key stakeholders present here will focus on fostering a proactive and mutually beneficial partnership», added Lucien Bussa.

Throught the DRC-UK Economic Forum, the British mission aims to strengthen economic relations and create partnerships between leading British companies across various sectors and the public and private sectors of the DRC.
