Nigeria: Davido nearly murdered on stage
Davido was very lucky. Indeed an enraged fan almost attacked the Nigerian afrobeat star during a concert in Lagos. The quick action of his bodyguards managed to remove the spectator from the stage.
Nigerian singer Davido was eagerly awaited by his many fans after the difficult trial he went through. The tragic disappearance of the artist’s three-year-old son had put an end to the various dates scheduled for his concerts around the world.
Since then, Davido has returned to the studio where a new album called “Timeless” will soon be on the market. Better yet, before the release of the musical work, he has decided to reconnect with his audience.
However, the most anticipated concert was the one on Friday, April 21st in his home country at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos. Everything was going smoothly and the singer was playing most of his hit songs to the delight of the crowd.
During the performance of his song “Fia,” a trivial incident occurred when an overexcited fan climbed onto the stage and attempted to rush towards Davido.
The music lover almost attacked the singer but was quickly intercepted by security before any harm could be done.
Davido was quick to be on guard until the security agents arrived to remove and evacuate the spectator from the venue.
The video of the fan’s gesture went viral on social media and internet users praised the artist’s composure. However, the reason behind the narrowly avoided attack remains to be elucidated.
