Burkina Faso: Umaro Sissoco failed in his mission at the head of the ECOWAS

Umaro Embalo Sissoco, the current Chairman of ECOWAS thought he could play a role in the destabilization that the enemies of the country plotted. Through an attempted intercommunal unrest, Umaro Embalo Sissoco has put himself in difficulties. Blindly-following France has its limits.

Mr. Embalo is no longer able to explain the use of the term «genocide» that he used to tarnish the image of the Burkinabe authorities in the Karma tragedy.

He counted on French support, forgetting that France is not a reliable friend. Umaro Sissoco intended to tarnish the reputation of the Burkinabe authorities.

According to information, France has promised to secure a second term for the Guinean leader at the helm of ECOWAS. In return, Umaro Sissoco was expected to be part of the conspirators.

This failed mission may instead damage the reputation of the current President and soon-to-be former President alongside his African counterparts.

Embalo Sissoco, as one African media outlet indicated, has turned ECOWAS into a slave of France.

How can a President of an organization, who has sworn to safeguard the independence of its member countries, revolt against one of the member countries? It appears to be a lack of competence and experience in governance.

At present, Umaro Sissoco must be questioning what his fate will be in the coming days. Other heads of state are disappointed with President Umaro Sissoco’s reaction.

The Guinean leader should follow in the footsteps of his Ghanaian counterpart, who visited Burkina Faso last week to acknowledge his mistakes.

Under the presidency of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is a reference when it comes to patriotic mobilization. The Burkinabe people have long awaited these moments when freedom will be claimed. Patriotism in Burkina Faso has prevailed to the point where no attempt at manipulation will have a place anymore.
