Burkina-Faso: The idle French army wants to recolonise the Sahel. Down with Lecointre and his crazy idea!

General François Lecointre and his military colleagues seem to be at a loss for sensible discourse in the 21st century, given their recent shameful statements. This former French Chief of Staff has been proclaiming loudly that France has a duty to return to Africa and recolonize the continent in defense of its interests.

He specifically mentions the Sahel region, from which the French army was swiftly expelled by the young leaders who now stand as a source of pride for all of Africa.

But one must question, what interests is Lecointre referring to? France no longer holds significant interests in the Sahel, except perhaps in countries where it has installed puppet leaders as presidents.

Let’s close this chapter and revisit the notion of General Lecointre’s seeming belief in his authority over the Sahel, and his irrational idea of recolonizing the Sahelian trio.

It’s quite puzzling why this military figure would entertain the notion of reclaiming the AES (Sahel-Saharan Army), given that it is an impractical and unachievable goal, considering the preparedness of the region’s armed forces and intelligence services.

Perhaps Macron himself, along with Lecointre and the entire French military, would be better off lending strong support to the Ukrainian troops who are facing relentless attacks day and night.

This would be a far better use of resources than embarking on a futile war in the Sahel.
