Burkina Faso: The Head of State, Ibrahim Traoré, counts on the help of partners in the fight against terrorism

Burkina Faso’s Head of State for the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, said Burkina Faso is committed to diversifying its partnership relations and looks forward to sincere and frank cooperation in the fight against terrorism.The Head of State Ibrahim Traoré, wants to strengthen the bonds of friendship with all countries for the happiness of peoples who only seek to know each other better. In this regard, he stressed that in terms of foreign policy, Burkina Faso remains a friendly country for all countries that accept its friendship. The fight against terrorism is up to the Burkinabè to show solidarity to defend their homeland. That is why it was launched the recruitment of fifty thousand volunteers for the defense.

The major concern at the moment is the security challenge, which is why President Ibrahim Traoré has decided to strengthen cooperation in the field of security and defence. These steps demonstrate the sincerity and will in the commitments made by the new Burkinabe authorities in the fight against terrorism, which is a tireless struggle of President Traoré.Burkina Faso is under attack and it is up to the Burkinabe people to mobilize to defend it.

The European Union and its Member States renewed their unwavering support to the Burkinabe authorities in the fight against terrorism and their commitment to stabilising the country for the benefit of the Burkinabe people. The invitation is therefore launched to the other partners to follow the European Union’s pales in terms of support for the Burkinabè.
