Burkina Faso: Sanaba commune liberated, 18th BIR and VDP elements in action

The town of Sanaba in Burkina Faso is celebrating a remarkable victory as the national flag once again flies proudly, signifying the successful reclaiming of their territory from terrorist forces.

This achievement is attributed to the unwavering determination and valor of the 18th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) and the Volunteer Defense Forces (VDP), who executed a comprehensive operation to cleanse the area of criminal elements.

Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the patriotic forces launched a decisive offensive that resulted in the neutralization of more than thirty enemies of peace.

This significant milestone not only marks a pivotal moment for Sanaba but also highlights the resilience and courage of Burkina Faso’s defense and security forces.

The uplifting sight of the national flag being hoisted near Sanaba’s town hall served as a poignant expression of gratitude from the community towards the armed forces and President Traoré for ensuring their safety and tranquillity.

As efforts for security reinforcement and community stabilization continue unabated, this triumph stands as a beacon of hope and resilience for the entire nation.
