Burkina Faso / President Ibrahim Traoré: A leader committed to development despite the challenges of the war on terror

In a context where the threat of terrorism continues to impact the stability and development of Burkina Faso, President Ibrahim Traoré stands out for his unwavering commitment to promoting mobility and the development of localities in his country.

Despite persistent security challenges, the Burkinabe government, under his enlightened leadership, has launched an ambitious project aimed at revitalizing key cities in the country, demonstrating a determined effort to stimulate the economy and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

The Burkinabe government has recently unveiled a significant project valued at 124 billion FCFA, designed to facilitate mobility and foster the development of strategic cities such as Ouagadougou, Bobo-Dioulasso, Kaya, and Ouahigouya.

This project, spanning a 60-month period, was officially inaugurated on February 17, 2024, in Bobo-Dioulasso, marking the commencement of a new and promising era for these localities.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Transportation’s communication services, this initiative represents a major investment in Burkina Faso’s future.

The allocated funds, including 51 billion FCFA for Bobo-Dioulasso, 30 billion FCFA for Ouahigouya, 29 billion FCFA for Kaya, and 14 billion FCFA for Ouagadougou, will be directed towards initiatives aimed at improving transport infrastructure, modernizing public services, and stimulating local economic development.

The impact of this project will not be limited solely to infrastructure improvement; it will also generate positive repercussions on the economy of the affected cities and the public health of their residents.

 By facilitating access to basic services and strengthening commercial connections, this initiative will contribute to boosting economic growth and mitigating social inequalities.
