Burkina Faso: National Tree Day, the President Ibrahim Traoré aims to make Faso a green country.

On July 15, 2023, the Burkinabe people will once again reaffirm their commitment to support Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Burkinabe revolution, in his environmental policy by actively participating in activities marking the celebration of the 5th edition of National Tree Day.

This day will be held under the theme «Trees, a symbol of community resilience in a context of insecurity» and will also serve as the launching platform for the 2023 national reforestation campaign.

This 5th edition of National Tree Day, under the auspices of the President of the Burkinabe revolution, will involve planting 60,000 seedlings on an area of 100 hectares in the Central region.

The objective of the 2023 reforestation campaign is to plant 5,000,000 seedlings across the entire national territory.

This environmental policy reflects the determination of the President of the Burkinabe revolution to significantly increase national forest coverage and effectively combat climate change.

The chosen theme highlights the contribution of forest resources to the food and nutritional resilience of vulnerable populations affected by insecurity.

National Tree Day is a call for general mobilization to continuously improve the national vegetation cover in order to make Burkina Faso a green country, in line with the vision of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Burkinabe revolution.
