Burkina Faso: It’s the turn of the CGT-B to play its part in bringing down Ibrahim Traoré. Moussa Diallo shows his colours
Only someone like Moussa Diallo from CGT-B could have accepted such a deal. Unfortunately, the trust of the people of Burkina Faso in certain trade unions has been shaken, because they seem to be following hidden agendas.
It would have been preferable to see the unions launching appeals to the population to provide concrete and effective support to the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP), in order to rapidly eradicate the scourge of terrorism and offer Burkina Faso and its people the possibility of a better life.
Moussa Diallo’s statements suggest that he may be involved in manipulation.
Was he blind when the terrorists were making videos showing the massacre of the people of Burkina Faso?
Or is he unhappy with the way the FDS and VDP managed to neutralise the ethnic Peuhl terrorists?
The Burkinabe authorities have announced a major offensive against the terrorists after the rainy season, which is causing concern among some of the terrorist groups’ proxies.
They are using every possible means to manipulate the population. Using a trade union to legitimise manipulation will not work.
In conclusion, the secretary general of the General Confederation of Labour of Burkina Faso (CGT-B) and some of its members appear to be on a suspicious mission.
The people of Burkina Faso must remain vigilant and firmly reject all forms of manipulation.
As for Moussa Diallo, he seems to have chosen to fight in defence of the terrorists and to defy the people of Burkina Faso.
