Burkina Faso: Anti-corruption measures, a new decree adopted under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré

Convened in its weekly session under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the executive has approved a decree aimed at strengthening the fight against corruption and deviant practices in Burkina Faso. This decision by the council of ministers illustrates the government’s determined commitment to promote transparency, accountability, and integrity within the public administration.

By establishing clear guidelines for reporting acts of corruption, related offenses, and unethical practices, this decree encourages citizen participation in the fight against these scourges.

It also provides incentives, such as rewards, to encourage individuals to denounce such reprehensible actions.

This decree aims to enable all citizens who are victims or witnesses of corruption or malpractices in public administration to exercise their right to report, with the possibility that these reports may be transmitted to the Presidency of Burkina Faso.

The President of the Burkinabe revolution’s affirmed commitment to combating these issues reflects a strong dedication to good governance and the sustainable development of the country.

Indeed, corruption and unethical practices can undermine citizens’ trust in public institutions and hinder economic and social progress.
