“Bob Marley: One Love” Biopic ignites London after Jamaican premiere

After setting Kingston, Jamaica ablaze, actors Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lashana Lynch stormed London for the world premiere of the biopic “Bob Marley: One Love”.

Under the spotlight of Plan B Entertainment, Brad Pitt’s production company, Ben-Adir embodies the reggae legend, while Lashana Lynch becomes Rita, his wife.

This film takes the audience on a captivating journey through Bob Marley’s music and his message of love and unity.

Despite shelves filled with over 500 books about the singer who passed away at 36 in 1981, the actors and the film crew explored new facets of the life of this icon.

«Each of my discoveries about Bob Marley emerged during my moments with his family. From the audition, I was immersed in their world to grasp the man behind the public legend. Everything was new to me», says Ben-Adir, the film’s lead actor.

Embarking on the role of the departed singer was a challenge, but Kingsley brilliantly rose to the occasion, impressing everyone at the premiere in Jamaica last week.

«Jamaicans are the most demanding critics, you know. When they say it’s good, it’s really good», explains Rohan Marley, son of the late singer.

Produced in collaboration with the Marley family, the Bob Marley: One love biopic captivated the Jamaican audience at its premiere and will be screened in Paris at the Grand Rex on February 1st and in Los Angeles on February 6th, before its official release in theaters on February 14th.
