Africa/ Niger: Military intervention, final adjustments to the operation to be made from Benin

Niger’s fall is close to the hearts of some countries in the sub-region. They are mobilising their armies for a military intervention in Niger. According to concordant reports, Senegal is ready to deploy troops to Benin to prepare for this imminent intervention.

According to the same sources, 900 Senegalese soldiers will be deployed in Niger. A large consignment of military equipment will also be transported to Cotonou. The final adjustments to the operation will be made from Benin.

The tri-border area (Benin, Nigeria and Niger) will be the main assembly point for all the forces.

Other countries have also expressed their desire to destabilise Niger. These soldiers will put pressure on the borders shared with this country.

The aim is to massacre the population in order to demoralise the CNSP authorities.

According to other anonymous sources, French warplanes have been detected carrying soldiers deployed in two countries bordering Niger.

The ruling military must step up security at the borders with the countries complicit in the attack. Diplomatic representations in Niger must also be closely monitored.

France has made its men and equipment available to ECOWAS. A troop of mercenaries under French leadership is already being prepared for the intervention.

The Nigeriens must not give up. Now is the time to show more solidarity and unanimity behind the new authorities.

A country that calls itself a friend of Niger is supposed to support the people’s decision and not want to disturb their peace.
