Burkina Faso: Digitization of land procedures, a significant advancement in the dematerialization of administrative processes

The Minister of Digital Transition, Posts, and Electronic Communications of Burkina Faso, Aminata Zerbo/Sabane, along with her counterpart from Urban Planning, Land Affairs, and Housing, recently implemented the Teng@ Topo platform following an official launch ceremony.

This solution, managed by the Ministry of Urban Planning, is accessible at www.Tengatopo.gov.bf. It offers six main services: land demarcation requests, issuance of plan extracts, land identification, tracking of land requests, change of land use, and authorization to parcel or restructure land.

« I am satisfied to see the realization of this project, driven by my department, whose utility for users is unparalleled. Indeed, the creation of this platform reflects the government’s desire to place the digitization of administrative procedures at the heart of state reform for the benefit of Burkinabe citizens », stated Mikaïlou Sidibe.

The Teng@ Topo platform is part of the National Strategy for the Modernization of Public Administration (SNMAP) 2021-2025, which aims to digitize 100% of administrative procedures by 2025. As of February, the average completion rate for the digitization of administrative procedures was 83.97%, according to an evaluation by the Ministry of Digital Transition.

The launch of this new platform should allow users to submit their requests online, saving time. They can also track the progress of their requests without needing to travel and receive documents directly online. This initiative will help reduce long queues in administrative offices, lower the costs associated with frequent travel, and improve process transparency.
