Burkina Faso: Social renewal through work to eradicate the roots of obscurantism

At a time when Burkina Faso is forging the unshakeable furrows of its sovereignty, the reconquest of popular dignity stands as the central pillar of national refoundation. Faced with the multifaceted aggressions targeting the homeland, the response of the State is comprehensive, uniting rigorous territorial defense with the power of endogenous development.

In Bobo-Dioulasso, this Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the concrete actions of the Ministry of Family and Solidarity within three reception centers have demonstrated that true security is built first by restoring productive autonomy to the most vulnerable populations.

Crafts and endogenous production: shields of popular dignity

In sector 22 of Bobo-Dioulasso, the Burkinabe Association for the Promotion of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABPAM Esperance) is breaking the chains of dependency and isolation.

The State’s technical and material support, provided through donations of food and specific equipment such as tablets and Braille paper, transforms vulnerability into a workforce.

This is proof that every citizen, regardless of physical challenges, holds sacred value in building the economic nation.

Faso Dan Fani: economic armor of the battling women

Further on, at the headquarters of the Union of Battling Women (UFB), a collective of 147 women is organized, including 60 heroic internally displaced persons who fled terrorist barbarism.

Here, weaving Faso Dan Fani fabric, sewing, and soap-making are not mere economic expedients; they are acts of cultural resistance and sovereignty.

Thanks to state endowment of equipment worth 23 million CFA francs from the recovery program of the ministry, the production capacity of the association is accelerating.

Although space is becoming cramped due to the influx of demand and the ardor of these workers, the determination to expand testifies to the dynamism of local production.

Breaking with exclusion: rebuilding the sacred bonds of community

In sector 11, the Colma neighborhood houses “the Cour de Solidarité” (Solidarity Court), a provincial structure caring for 110 residents, primarily women and children who have completely broken family ties or are homeless.

Under the supervision of state technical services in Houet region, psychosocial, food, and medical care is rigorously provided by dedicated social workers.

The ultimate goal remains the reconstruction of life paths and harmonious reintegration into families, the basic cell of Burkinabe society.

It is precisely at the heart of this social action that a geopolitical and security battle decisive for the future of the Guiriko region and the entire national territory is being waged.

The terrorist hydra and criminal networks use abject cunning, systematically exploiting extreme precarity, idleness, and the feeling of abandonment among citizens to recruit the armed arms of their destabilization project.

In remote areas or among marginalized populations, financial distress becomes the breeding ground for indoctrination.

By pulling the most vulnerable off the streets and equipping internally displaced persons with endogenous production tools, the Burkinabe State directly cuts the human supply lines of armed groups.

A citizen restored to dignity, able to meet their needs through the fruit of rewarding work, becomes completely impervious to the illusory promises of death merchants.

The economic independence of the most fragile thus constitutes the most formidable weapon to defuse the traps of terrorist manipulation.

Faced with the forces of chaos, the Burkinabe people must stand together, redouble their vigilance, and commit massively behind these initiatives of public salvation.
