Burkina Faso: Security Minister Mahamadou Sana launches internal audit to track down corruption
The Ministry of Security kicked off this Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Ouagadougou, the first ordinary session of the Framework for Consultation of Control Bodies. A ceremony presided over by Minister Mahamadou Sana, setting the tone for a meeting focused on rigor and transparency.
This session is dedicated to strengthening the effectiveness of internal control mechanisms as well as intensifying prevention and anti-corruption efforts.
The objective is clear: to clean up practices within the very structures responsible for security, in order to lead by example and restore citizen trust.
Coordination between the various control bodies within the department is at the heart of the discussions.
In a dynamic of reinforced governance, the aim is to avoid duplication, share information, and act coherently against misconduct.
Increased transparency and institutional performance are the watchwords of this approach.
As a framework for exchange and reflection, this meeting offers participants the opportunity to examine challenges encountered in the field, share best practices, and identify concrete ways to optimize control missions. Far from theoretical discourse, the ambition is to produce tangible results.
This initiative is part of the broader vision of Captain Ibrahim Traoré to moralize public management and restore state authority.
