Togo / MIATO 2025: Togolese crafts in the spotlight for a 4th edition

The 4th edition of the Togo International Handicrafts Market (MIATO) has been officially announced by the Minister of Commerce, Handicrafts, and Local Consumption, Rose Kayi Mivedor.

This significant event, set to take place from April 23 to May 4, 2025, on the esplanade of the Lomé Congress Palace, has become a biennial meeting point for stakeholders in the handicrafts and local consumption sectors.

MIATO 2025 will bring together artisans from various backgrounds, exhibitors, visitors, and tourists, all united by a shared passion for craftsmanship.

As with previous editions, the ten-day event will be packed with activities, providing an exceptional showcase for artisanal skills and local products.

The ministry has announced that registrations will open in the coming days, encouraging artisans to prepare for this key event.

The last edition, held from October 25 to November 5, 2023, was a resounding success, attracting nearly 800 artisans from 17 countries, with Mali as the guest of honour.

This highlighted the international scope and significance of MIATO in promoting African handicrafts.

The 4th edition promises to be even more impactful, further cementing MIATO’s role as a catalyst for the development of handicrafts and the promotion of local consumption in Togo and beyond.
