TOGO: Four boxers will represent Togo in qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games

Earlier this week, the Togolese Boxing Federation (FETOBOXE) organised a press conference in Lomé to announce Togo’s participation in the qualifying competition for the Olympic Games (OG) Paris 2024 Africa Zone, which will take place from 6 to 16 September in Dakar, Senegal.

The meeting with media professionals was jointly hosted by FETOBOXE President Dr Kpakpo Mawussé and the federation’s National Technical Director (DTN), Adoté Sylvain Têvi.

The event was an opportunity not only to inform the press about Togo’s participation in the qualifying competition for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but also to present the boxers who will be representing Togo in this qualifying competition and to specify the categories in which they will be competing.

Three male and one female boxer will represent Togo at this meeting of boxers from the African zone as part of the qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Senegal.

These are Vlavonou Olivier (51kg), who lives in Lomé, Yétongnon Kodjo (63, 500kg), who competes in France, Préwa Constant (80kg), who has a scholarship from the Togo National Olympic Committee (NOC) and competes in Lyon in France, and the boxer Yétongnon Coletivi (54kg), who also competes in France”, revealed the President.

He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Minister in charge and the President of the NOC-Togo for their support and contribution, with a view to the successful organisation of the competition and the athletes’ travel to it.
