The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, visited on Wednesday the stands of the International Synergy Exhibition for Safety, Security, and Defense (SYSDEF), which opened its doors on Tuesday, July 4th, in the capital of Burkina Faso.

According to the SYSDEF Commissioner, Hyacinthe Zoure, the President’s visit shows that he is close to his people.

Under the theme «What Contributions Can the Private Sector Make to State Security? », this first edition brings together all military and paramilitary forces, as well as private sector actors who offer security and defense tools and services.

«We also highlighted the youth who are innovating through the organization of a hackathon focused on security and defense solutions because we really want to support the security and defense industry», supported the SYSDEF Commissioner.

The launch of SYSDEF’s activities on July 4th was conducted by the Chief of Staff of the President of the Transition, Captain Martha Céleste Anderson MEDAH. Around fifteen African, European, and Asian companies are participating in the exhibition.
