Salah’s anticipated comeback: Klopp teases Liverpool fans amidst Burnley’s pending challenge

Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, has sparked optimism among fans by announcing the potential imminent return of Mohamed Salah to the field. The Egyptian forward, who was injured during the Africa Cup of Nations, could make his comeback with the Reds. Klopp shared this encouraging news during a press conference ahead of the match against Burnley.

Mo (Salah) is heading in the right direction. We hope he can join training next week. But we’ll see.

He’s going through all the stages, and it looks positive. It’s either next week or the week after», stated the Reds’ manager.

This announcement provides a glimmer of hope to supporters who haven’t seen Salah in action for Liverpool since the beginning of the year.

However, Jurgen Klopp also highlighted the challenges the team faces for the upcoming match against Burnley, with notable absences, including Dominik Szoboszlai, Thiago Alcantara, and Connor Bradley, each for different reasons.

«Things are not going well with Thiago. He looked fantastic in training, and we wanted to give him minutes against Arsenal. It’s a muscular problem, and we still don’t know how long it will take for him to recover», explained Klopp.

The situation of Dominic Szoboszlai, currently in an outdoor rehabilitation phase, remains uncertain as well.

«Dominic is currently running outside. Of course, he’s not ready for tomorrow. We’ll have to wait and see, as always with these tendon injuries», added the German manager.

Thus, despite the positive prospect of Salah’s return, Klopp and his team are facing persistent challenges ahead of the next showdown against Burnley.
