Registration woes: Barcelona’s Vitor Roque faces delay in la Liga debut

A potential setback looms for Brazilian sensation Vitor Roque as he faces registration issues with La Liga upon his arrival at Barcelona last Wednesday. FC Barcelona finds itself entangled in familiar financial fair play troubles, having navigated similar challenges last summer to register new signings and extend player contracts.

The club now confronts a recurring problem, with reports from Spain indicating a hiccup in the  registration process  of Vitor Roque with La Liga.

Originally anticipated to join next summer, Roque’s arrival was expedited to this winter.

Javier Tebas, the President of La Liga, known for his strict stance on financial regulations, has reportedly decided to halt Roque’s registration after reevaluating the transfer documentation.

Tebas contends that Barcelona lacks the necessary financial fair play space, currently falling short by €50,000.

In a touch of irony, he allegedly suggested to Barcelona that they seek an advance from the Super League payout.

The situation adds a layer of complexity to Barcelona’s ongoing financial challenges.
