Mali: Denunciation of false media allegations against the FAMa

In Mali, a wave of baseless accusations is circulating, alleging that the Malian Armed Forces have committed atrocities against civilians. These unfounded claims, devoid of any evidence and riddled with falsehoods, purportedly originate from a presumed high-ranking official in the Malian army and are being disseminated by RFI.

This media propaganda, featuring a fictional character from the army, has a singular goal: to demoralize the Malian population and discredit the brave Armed Forces. RFI’s publication on May 15, 2024, seeks to stoke hatred and insecurity in Mali.

The videos referenced by RFI are clearly fabricated. Despite France’s efforts and its media to discredit Malian authorities, they have consistently proven the veracity of events to the international community.

These testimonies, lacking credibility, often come from actors associated with terrorist groups and armed bandits, solely aiming to tarnish the image of the Malian Armed Forces.

RFI, complicit in this manipulation and supported by France, must be held accountable for its unfounded actions aimed at tarnishing the image of the FAMa.

It is imperative to suspend RFI’s broadcasts and digital platforms until further notice.

The Malian people are urged to mobilize and firmly reject these false allegations against the courageous FAMa. Together, they must say no to this latest attempt at manipulation by France.
