2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana and Angola Seal Their Spots

Ghana and Angola have secured their qualification tickets for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Côte d’Ivoire.

In the decisive match of Group E, where Ghana hosted the Central African Republic, the Black Stars faced a moment of tension. Indeed, the Ghanaian team found themselves trailing in the 25th minute due to a goal by Louis Mafouta from the Central African team. However, the Ghanaians managed to claw their way back into the game, thanks to their young prodigy, Mouhamed Kudus, who scored a stunning free-kick in the 43rd minute.

Late in the match, Ernest Nuamah, a player from Olympique Lyonnais, shattered the hopes of the Central African Republic by scoring the second goal in the 88th minute. With this hard-fought victory, Ghana finishes at the top of their group.

On the other hand, Angola, hosting Madagascar, secured their qualification despite a goalless draw (0-0) on home turf.
