Foot/ PSG: Luis Enrique extends PSG contract until 2027 after successful first season

Luis Enrique has extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain for an additional two years, solidifying his role at the helm of the French champions. Initially appointed in the summer of 2023, Enrique took over from Christophe Galtier, ushering in a new era focused on collective team play rather than relying on individual star power.

In his first season, the Spanish coach steered PSG to a domestic treble—winning Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions—while also guiding the team to the semifinals of the Champions League.

This success, achieved despite a significant overhaul of the squad, including the departures of Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Marco Verratti, has strengthened the club’s faith in Enrique’s long-term vision.

After weeks of speculation, RMC Sport has reported that Enrique’s contract extension has been agreed upon, and he will remain in charge until 2027. Le Parisien adds that the deal has already been signed, with an official announcement from PSG pending.

The extension also comes as Luis Campos, PSG’s Portuguese sporting advisor, is set to renew his own contract.

Campos, who was linked with a move to AS Monaco earlier this year, will continue his partnership with  Luis Enrique and club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Together, they aim to guide PSG to further domestic success and, crucially, to secure the elusive Champions League title.
