Foot/Euro 2024: Kylian Mbappé to wear a mask for next matches

The French national team had a challenging start to the European Championship but managed to secure a crucial win, earning three points to boost their confidence ahead of their next match against the Netherlands.

However, their priorities shifted when Kylian Mbappé, their star forward, suffered a nasal fracture in the 90th minute and was replaced by Olivier Giroud.

Following the match, Mbappé, now with Real Madrid, was taken to a Düsseldorf hospital for initial examinations, which fortunately indicated that surgery wouldn’t be necessary.

On social media, Mbappé humorously asked for mask suggestions, indicating his condition wasn’t as severe as initially feared.

The French Football Federation (FFF) confirmed that a custom mask would be made for him, allowing him to continue playing after a period of recovery.

While it’s uncertain if Kylian Mbappé will play against the Netherlands, RMC Sport reports that the French team staff will not rush his return until he is fully recovered, even if it means waiting until the knockout stages.
