Davido’s Charitable commitment: Afrobeats Star announces 300 Million Naira donation to Nigerian orphanages

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, made a significant announcement on Tuesday, revealing his plan to donate 300 million Naira (approximately $197,000) to orphanages across Nigeria.

Taking to social media, Davido, whose real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, shared his commitment to contribute this substantial sum annually as part of his foundation’s ongoing efforts to support the nation’s orphanages.

Davido has earned praise in recent years for his philanthropic endeavors, endearing himself to fans with his generosity.

In 2021, he successfully raised 200 million Naira from friends and fans through social media posts, where he requested financial support to clear his Rolls Royce from the port.

Davido personally added 50 million Naira to the fund, resulting in a total donation of 250 million Naira to various orphanages in Nigeria.

Following this initiative, Davido established the David Adeleke Foundation in the subsequent year, continuing the tradition of annual donations to orphanages in Nigeria.
