Damian Lillard earned the title of Most Valuable Player in the NBA All-Star Game, guiding the Eastern Conference to a 211-186 victory over the Western Conference in Indianapolis.

The Milwaukee Bucks guard showcased an outstanding performance, scoring 39 points, which included an impressive 11 three-pointers.

The contribution of Damian Lillard helped set a new record for the East in an All-Star Game, surpassing the 196 points scored by the West in 2016.

The 33-year-old expressed his honor in winning the Kobe Bryant MVP Trophy, acknowledging the significance of the accomplishment.

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics added 36 points, while Tyrese Haliburton from the Indiana Pacers contributed 32 for the East, who played as the home side. Karl-Anthony Towns from the Minnesota Timberwolves scored an impressive 50 points for the West.

The total points reached 397 in the 73rd All-Star Game, breaking the previous record of 374 set in 2017.

LeBron James of the LA Lakers participated in a record 20th All-Star Game but was limited to 14 minutes due to an ankle injury.

Despite playing briefly, James managed to score eight points for the West.

Ahead of the game, there were reports that the Golden State Warriors attempted to acquire James before the trade deadline on February 14.

Responding to the speculation, James emphasized his happiness as a Laker and expressed hope to continue with the team.

While he acknowledged the uncertainty of his future, he conveyed his contentment with the Lakers’ organization.
