Copa America 2024: Vinicius Jr. Criticizes Pitch Conditions Despite Brazil’s 4-1 Victory Over Paraguay

Brazil secured a convincing 4-1 win against Paraguay in the Copa America 2024, but star forward Vinicius Jr. criticized the poor pitch conditions and refereeing standards.

After a disappointing draw with Costa Rica, the Seleção bounced back impressively at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Vinicius Jr., who scored twice, led the team with a standout performance, showcasing the same explosiveness and efficiency seen at Real Madrid this season.

Despite the victory, Vinicius expressed frustration with the CONMEBOL, stating, “It’s difficult to play in these stadiums because of the quality of the pitches and the referees who are against us – they don’t call obvious fouls. The way CONMEBOL treats us is hard to explain.”

Brazil now sits in second place in Group D with four points, positioning themselves as strong contenders for the title. Paraguay remains at the bottom of the group with zero points.
